Michael S. Cohen has been an active financial professional in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and the surrounding areas for over three decades.  He has assisted his portfolio of clients with the transition of leaving the workplace and settling into retirement by securing their assets, increasing their retirement income, and offering tax reducing options.
 
Michael calls Spartanburg, South Carolina his home. He is a born-again believer in Jesus Christ. He is a current Life Group leader and deacon at First Baptist Church, Board Member for Carpenters for Christ and supporter of Point of Life Church and Carolina Pregnancy Center. It is a passion of Michael’s to travel to developing countries to provide physical aid. Witnessing the devastation and turmoil of other nations has evoked great pride to call himself an American and to enjoy the freedoms we have in the United States of America. Michael has received the title of Top of the Table member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), an independent association of the world's leading financial services professionals. Michael is a Past President and advisor of the year of NAIFA. He is also a member of the National Ethics Bureau.
 
He has always place great emphasis and value on his relationship with his clients. Over his 34 years of servicing the Upstate of South Carolina, Michael has built a devoted team at Cohen Financial Group of individuals who go above and beyond to handle and care for your financial needs.  
 
Michael has been married to the love of his life, Judean, for 34 years. Michael operates by the Golden Rule, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” found in Matthew 7:12. It is an ethical principle he uses every day sitting down with his clients and one he lives by with his closest friends and family. It is common to see Michael at a home improvement store picking up supplies for a home project, hitting golf balls at the local driving range or just out spending time with his family.
